After a long run or a heavy session it is never just the quads. It is the calves, the lower back, the shoulders, and whatever you did not realise you were using. Twenty minutes in magnesium reaches all of it at once, which is why a soak is still the most useful recovery tool most people already own.
Why you’ll love it
Magnesium flakes, not a sprinkle in a salt filler.
Australian Peppermint and Lemon Ironbark, not lavender.
The Tasmanian botanical the whole range is built on.
Two to three tablespoons if you have no bath.
A pre-session loosener or a post-session soak.
No synthetic fragrance, no colours, no fillers.

What’s inside
Magnesium Chloride, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride from MCT Oil, Polysorbate 80, Tasmanian Kunzea Ambigua Oil, Australian Peppermint Oil and Lemon Ironbark Oil. Six ingredients, no filler salt.
Free from synthetic fragrances, parabens, sulphates, artificial colours and petrochemical derivatives.
See the ingredient glossaryNot Epsom salt with magnesium added, but Magnesium Chloride as the body of the blend. It is the same form of magnesium used in our topical sprays, dissolved across a whole bath.
Australian Peppermint for the cooling note and Lemon Ironbark, a native eucalypt, for the citrus edge. This is the pairing that makes the bath reviving rather than sedating.
Kunzea ambigua, plantation-farmed as well as wild harvested in Tasmania. The through-line across everything we make, and the reason this smells like the Zea range rather than a sports product.
When to reach for it
Half a cup, twenty minutes, legs under water.
The soak that keeps day two from being a write-off.
A short warm soak to loosen off first.
Two to three tablespoons in a bowl of warm water.
Between the hard days, when recovery is the session.
Not just for athletes. Four hours of weeding counts.
Nurses, hospo and tradies, in a bath or a bowl.
The magnesium step in a heat and cold routine.

Complete the recovery set
The soak is the long version. These are what customers use in the ten minutes either side of a session, and on the days there is no time for a bath.
Zea began in 2016 as a family market stall in Tasmania and we are now Australia’s only Certified B Corporation in natural pain relief, donating 1% of all sales to the planet. Most recovery salts are cheap salt with a little magnesium and a lot of fragrance. This one is Magnesium Chloride flakes with three real essential oils, which is why a 600g jar costs what it does and why it only takes half a cup.

Half a cup, or a handful, in a warm bath, or 2 to 3 tablespoons in a foot spa. Soak for 15 to 20 minutes. A 600g jar gives you around 12 soaks.

These are magnesium-forward with cooling mint, built for training recovery. The Kunzea Bath Salts blend Epsom and sea salts with Kunzea, Tasmanian Lavender and Ylang Ylang, and are built for relaxation and sleep. If you train, start with these.
Yes. A foot spa works well: 2 to 3 tablespoons in a large bowl of comfortably warm water, feet in for 15 to 20 minutes. It is the most common workaround our customers use.
Either, and they are formulated for both. A short warm soak before a session helps you loosen off; the longer soak afterwards is what most people use them for.
Same family, different job. The spray is for the ten minutes either side of a session, applied straight to the muscle. The salts are the long version, for the whole body, on the evening after a hard day.
No. The Peppermint and Lemon Ironbark are there to make the soak feel reviving rather than sedating, at a level suited to a full bath. If you want a bath that sends you to sleep, use the Kunzea Bath Salts instead.
The blend is free from synthetic fragrance and is formulated for all skin types. As with any new product, patch test first, and take care getting in and out since salts and oils make surfaces slippery.
